Settlement

All securities available for trading on MSE are traded under the Rolling Settlement mechanism. Equity shares available under normal trading are traded in the EQ Series. Settlement obligations are generated based on executed trades.

Trading takes place in BE Series. Transactions are settled on a gross basis. No netting of buy and sell transactions. Mandatory delivery settlement.

EQ Series: Normal Rolling Settlement. BE Series: Trade-to-Trade settlement. BZ Series: Securities as designated by Exchange. RE Series: Rights Entitlement trading. GB Series: Sovereign Gold Bonds.

Auction sessions are conducted by the Exchange for buying in securities that have been delivered short by members. Auction duration is 30 minutes. Instrument Name: AUCBI. Daily Price Range: 20%.

Pre-Open Session 9:00 AM–9:15 AM; Normal Market 9:15 AM–3:30 PM; Auction Market 2:30 PM–3:30 PM; Post Close Session 3:40 PM–4:00 PM.

Settlement obligations arising out of trades executed on the Exchange are processed through the designated Clearing Corporation. For Trade-to-Trade securities, settlement is carried out on a gross basis.

The Exchange disseminates trade information, market statistics, security master data, auction information and market watch information.
